Dimitar Lazarov

I am a friendly and patient tutor, specializing in multi-lingual communication. Having a Spanish baccalaureate in science and Spanish literature, I am adept at using and teaching scientific and literary jargon. I have lived in Spain for 8 years, which has made me familiar with regional dialectical differences, being able to take them into account when teaching unique phrases and expressions. I am passionate about learning languages and I love sharing my passion with others. Lessons with me will be focused on a student’s individual needs, rather than following a tight progression plan. Whether that would be forming a basic foundation on which we can later build upon, help with homework, revision, preparation for travelling or moving abroad, or help with securing a job. My aim is to give each student well rounded knowledge of the Spanish language and culture, and the confidence to use it.

My method of work is simple and effective. After assessing the level of proficiency and the goal of a client in our first lesson, I create a study plan specifically tailored for them. After presenting and explaining the study plan in our second lesson, I ask for feedback. Making sure my clients are comfortable and on board with the progression rate, further tailoring our lessons based on the feedback. I combine classic methods of teaching with new and intuitive variations focused on audio-visual learning. Outside of the lessons, I give optional homework, designed to help the memorization of the growing vocabulary and new grammar. The difficulty and size of said homework will vary depending on the free time of each client. I provide all the study materials needed for the classes, so the purchase of textbooks will not be necessary.
