I achieved A*s for maths at IGCSE and A level. Having sat these exams recently, I understand the support that students require in terms of exam technique, revision strategies and motivation to meet their target grades. Therefore, I provide tailored mentoring and resources to ensure students understand core content before advancing to past paper analysis and time-pressure training. Through tutoring experience during sixth form, I've found that an interactive question and answer dynamic between students and tutor is one of the most effective ways to check understanding and fill knowledge gaps so this is what I usually use in my lessons although I'm happy to adapt my methods to suit each student's needs.
