Dhillon Bolina

Hi, I’m Dhillon, a second-year BEng Civil Engineering student at University College London. I offer online Maths tutoring for students who want to improve their confidence, understanding and exam preparation.

My lessons are calm, structured and focused on the student’s needs. I usually begin by identifying the topics the student finds difficult, then break the method down into clear steps using simple explanations and worked examples. After that, we move on to practice questions so the student can apply the method independently.

I believe Maths becomes easier when students understand why a method works, not just how to copy it. Because of this, I encourage students to explain their thinking back to me, ask questions and practise regularly until the topic feels more natural.

During exam periods, I often organise study sessions with friends where we go through lecture content, difficult concepts and past-paper questions together. I also use quizzes and active recall techniques to test understanding after revision. This has helped me develop a patient and practical teaching style.

I can support students with Maths topics, revision planning, study routines, past-paper practice and exam technique. My aim is to help students feel more organised, confident and prepared, while making lessons clear, encouraging and easy to follow.
