My lessons are highly interactive, structured, and student-centred. At the start of each session, we go through exactly what we will be covering, set clear goals for the lesson, and address any questions from previous topics so students know what to expect and feel confident.
During the lesson, I teach content in a clear and engaging way, regularly asking questions and encouraging discussion to check understanding and keep students actively involved rather than passively listening. I support students in using a note-taking method they are comfortable with — whether that’s the Cornell method, mind maps, structured notes, or another approach that works best for them.
At the end of each lesson, we finish with a concise summary of the key points, ensuring everything covered is clearly understood. We then reinforce learning through a short game, quiz, or active-recall exercise based on the material we’ve just studied. This helps strengthen memory, build confidence, and make learning enjoyable.
My aim is for students to leave every session feeling engaged, supported, and clear on what they’ve learned, with practical strategies they can use independently between lessons.
