Deborah Russell Russell

I am a highly qualified and experienced EFL/ESL teacher, offering both online and face-to-face lessons. I currently teach English through Microsoft Teams at a Further Education college in Cardiff and have extensive experience working with learners from complete beginner level through to intermediate level.

My lessons are engaging, supportive, and tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of each student. I help learners develop all key language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural awareness. I use a variety of interactive digital tools, such as Mentimeter, Wordwall, Nearpod, and Quizizz, to make lessons enjoyable and effective.

I am committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every student is treated fairly, with respect and understanding, regardless of their background, culture, age, or ability. Building confidence is an important part of my teaching, and I encourage students to participate actively and learn at their own pace.

In addition to structured lessons, I provide guidance on independent study and can recommend activities and resources to help students continue developing their English skills outside the classroom. This enables learners to make faster progress and become more confident, independent users of English.
