Danyal Qureshi

I self-studied for my GCSE and A-level exams, attaining 3 A* in my GCSEs aged 9 and 2 As in my A-levels by the age of 11.

After 5 years working as a backend developer for a payroll software company, I retook my Maths A-level and sat an extra 2 A-levels in French and Further Maths, achieving 2 As and an A*.

I have experience tutoring kids of all ages, and love it when my students grasp a concept they did not previously understand!

Outside of academics, I enjoy baking with sourdough, playing football and training in martial arts.

TEACHING STYLE:

Our lessons will focus heavily on exam-style questions and developing a deep intuitive understanding of the underlying concepts. Rather than simply learning how to answer particular questions, the goal is to understand why the method works and be able to apply it to unfamiliar problems.

As I self-studied for my exams, I developed the skills required to become an independent learner. I aim to cultivate the same skill set and mindset in my students, which will be an invaluable tool outside of our classes.
