My lessons are structured, engaging, and designed to maximise progress. Sessions are held online via Zoom, where I use an interactive shared whiteboard so both the student and I can work through problems together in real time. This allows for a collaborative and dynamic learning experience, similar to working side-by-side in person.
Each lesson follows a clear format to build understanding step by step. I typically begin with a short starter activity to recap prior knowledge, followed by guided examples where I model key methods and approaches. Students then complete “test your understanding” questions to check their grasp of the topic before moving on to a more substantial exercise to develop fluency and confidence. I also set targeted homework after each session to reinforce learning and support long-term progress.
In terms of my experience, I am a qualified maths teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring students across all levels and abilities. I have worked with a wide range of learners, from those needing support to build foundational skills through to those aiming for the highest grades. This breadth of experience allows me to adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s needs, ensuring lessons are both effective and accessible.
I have always had a genuine passion for maths, which led me to study maths and statistics at the London School of Economics. My enthusiasm for the subject is what inspired me to become a teacher, as I wanted to share that enjoyment and help students see maths in a more positive and approachable way. I believe that with the right support, every student can succeed in maths, and I aim to foster both confidence and interest in the subject throughout my lessons.
