My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. As a current Year 12 sixth form student studying A Levels with the goal of becoming a lawyer, I have recent, first-hand experience of GCSE English and understand both the content and the pressure that comes with exams.
In my English lessons, I focus on building strong skills in reading, writing, and analysis. Each lesson begins with a short assessment to understand the student’s current level, followed by clear explanations of key concepts such as language techniques, essay structure, and how to analyse texts effectively. I break down model answers step by step so students can clearly understand what high-quality work looks like.
We then practise using exam-style questions, working together to improve writing skills, vocabulary, and confidence. I also provide feedback and tips on how to structure answers to achieve higher marks.
My teaching style is patient, supportive, and encouraging. I aim to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their ideas.
As I am new to tutoring, I will be charging £10 per hour. This reflects my current level of experience while still ensuring that students receive high-quality, supportive lessons. I aim to work primarily with primary school students, helping them build strong foundations in English from an early stage. Although I am at the beginning of my tutoring journey, I am highly motivated, reliable, and committed to helping students improve and achieve their best.
