I create engaging and inspiring lessons that always incorporate a personal element for the pupils. By allowing the pupils to add there own experience and personality into the projects, I can teach them the fundamentals of Art and Design while they create artwork that is uniquely their own. With positive and encouraging feedback, each lesson builds on the last one, and I constantly check for understanding in every lesson to ensure that they really grasp the information that I am teaching them. I model my teaching around Rosenshine's Principles of Instruction, a system that teaches clearly, breaks things down into manageable chunks, constantly questioning and reviewing so that the learning sticks.
