Seán Myers

I am an artist and educator with specialist teaching experience in portfolio building, printmaking, mixed-media art & design, and educating young people and adults from diverse backgrounds in schools, colleges, and universities.

I aim to communicate concepts and processes in my subject(s) in an active, practical, and intuitive way, making sure students not only understand the subject itself but also the potential to cross over into other subjects.

I like to embed technical knowledge of how and why successful projects work in students, as this is very important to me in how I teach and my own fine art practice.

I have:

Expertise in intaglio, relief and colour surface printmaking: screen-printing, etching, dry-point, photopolymer, monotypes, vinyl & linocut, collagraph, cyanotype, photo-transfer, textural printing, offset plate lithography, collage and Chine-colle.

Extensive technical experience of all screen-printing processes in fine art, design and textiles contexts.

Highly adaptable creative approaches to research and concept development.

Innovative drawing, painting, photography, collage and mixed media methods.

Cross-disciplinary approaches to analogue and digital techniques and processes.
