Daniel Archibong

I am a dedicated and passionate educator with over 7 years of experience teaching English and History at both Primary and Secondary levels. My core qualities include patience, creativity, strong communication, empathy, and adaptability. I believe that learning should be engaging, purposeful, and relevant to students’ lives, so I work hard to create a classroom environment where every child feels valued, heard, and motivated to learn.

Over the years, I have taught diverse groups of learners, from foundational literacy and comprehension in primary school to literature, grammar, essay writing, and historical analysis in secondary school. I have prepared students for internal exams as well as (WAEC, NECO, and BECE), with a strong focus on critical thinking, clear expression, and historical understanding. I also mentor students, support reading programs, and collaborate with parents and colleagues to ensure holistic development.

My teaching methods include:
1. Interactive Learning: I use storytelling, debates, role-plays, and discussions to bring English texts and historical events to life.
2. Differentiated Instruction: I tailor lessons and materials to suit visual, auditory, and hands-on learners, and to support different ability levels.
3. Skills-Based Approach: In English, I emphasize reading, writing, speaking, and listening. In History, I focus on inquiry, timelines, source analysis, and connecting past events to the present.
4. Technology & Resources: I integrate videos, maps, charts, and educational games to make lessons more vivid and memorable.
5. Continuous Feedback: Through quizzes, writing tasks, and one-on-one support, I monitor progress and help students improve.

My goal is to build confident communicators and informed, thoughtful citizens who love learning.
