Dan Lilley

Hi, I’m Daniel, a First-Class Law graduate from the University of York and future trainee solicitor at Birketts. I offer friendly, tailored Law tutoring for A-Level and university students, whether you want to improve your grades, strengthen your essay writing or simply feel more confident with difficult legal concepts.

I achieved 79% in my final-year dissertation on AI and copyright law, which is forthcoming for publication in Intellectual Property Quarterly, and subsequently worked as a Research Assistant at the University of York. I also have practical experience as a commercial paralegal and through vacation schemes at leading law firms.

My lessons focus on understanding why strong legal answers work. I can help with essay structure, problem questions, critical analysis, exam technique, legal research and dissertations. Having also mentored students who went on to secure places at Russell Group universities, I adapt my teaching to each student’s individual goals and learning style.
