Your lesson/s will be bespoke, tailored to both your capabilities, and your learning style/s; perhaps you're a highly visual student, perhaps you learn by narrative and/or repetition. What aspects of your Law studies are you struggling with: common law principles, the role of legislation/statute, that endless list of seemingly disconnected cases; all of this will be evaluated and fed back into both the format and content of your lesson plan.

Similarly when it comes to the pace of the class - some students need a punchy dynamic style of tuition, whilst others need higher degrees of patience and repetition. One thing is for sure, much of it will be down to you, and all classes will include a component of homework, and review of said homework.

The road to success in the legal profession is a long and arduous one, so from the outset we will be considering ALL elements of the profession, from making ethical decisions, to fostering professionalism, but hopefully along the journey I will be able to share with you my love for this most complex of subjects; without this love our studies can become empty, and meaningless, so you can be sure that alongside working you hard we will be having some fun too, as we hear of ginger beer and snails (Tort Law) and prepare you for whatever academic hurdles you are soon to be facing.

All I will ever ask of you is that you study hard - but you can be sure I will be working equally as hard alongside you.

To whom it may concern Mark Pummell coached me private online tuition (one to one) for nearly over a year for my centralised assessments of the Bar Training Course. Mark is a dedicated, patient, caring tutor and he will always make you understand a topic well and in depth before moving on the next one. His questions are exams orientated and focussed mainly on the syllabus and examinations. He is a very brilliant, intelligent and experienced tutor and I have no reservations in recommending him to any law students (undergraduate, postgraduate and Bar Training Course). I was lucky enough to find Mark through a recommendation from a friend who achieved a distinction on the GDL at City and can honestly say working with him has been one of my best ever decisions. He is incredibly skilled at breaking down very complex legal principles and concepts in a way that those who have no prior knowledge are able to engage with and provides plenty of useful supplemetary materials/ articles/ obscure cases that may not be on the syllabus. Over the last five months, I have found every single one of his classes to be transformational in knowing how to approach exam questions and how to understand what examiners are looking for and now find this has become instinctual. He also provides a lot of real-life insight from his own legal practice which has been invaluable in broadening my understanding of contemporary legal isues and has provided a depth to my essay writing that I may not otherwise have had. Can't recommend enough!

Mark is an invaluable tutor helpful and straight in his balanced advise on structuring /solving English law issues. Thanks to his bar background he could advise me on how to approach complexity of cases in Marine and Trade Law.
