I place a strong emphasis on exam preparation, regularly using past paper questions and modelling effective exam techniques so that you feel confident in applying your knowledge. I also use regular low-stakes assessments to track progress and identify areas for improvement, ensuring that learning is continuous and purposeful.

Practical work and demonstrations are an important part of my teaching, as I believe Chemistry is best understood through application. Wherever possible, I link topics to real-life contexts such as environmental issues, health, and everyday materials, helping you see the relevance of what you are learning. I also emphasise laboratory safety and good scientific practice, encouraging you to work responsibly and confidently during practical sessions.

Building strong relationships with students is important to me, and I strive to create a classroom culture based on mutual respect, encouragement, and high expectations.

This includes differentiated tasks, scaffolded resources, and targeted support for those who need additional guidance, as well as extension opportunities for higher-attaining students.

I also encourage independent learning by guiding you on how to revise effectively, manage your time, and take responsibility for your own progress.

With my experience teaching GCSE, IGCSE, and A-Level Chemistry across different educational settings, I bring a flexible and student-centred approach.
