Hi I'm Constance and I'm a second year student at Durham University doing an integrated Masters in Chemistry. Having achieved 11x9s at GCSE and A*,A*,A*, A at a-level, I am well-versed in exam preparation, technique and success, My experience is with both online and in-person tutoring, catering for a range of ages (from year 6 to GCSE). I like to work with students to methodically break-down problem areas they have encountered then re-visit these areas in subsequent lessons in order to consolidate knowledge. Additionally, I will set just a couple questions for students to look over in between lessons and begin the lessons going over them in order to weed out any other problem areas. I will stick to their particular syllabus and with detailed planning will cover the entire range of subject areas over all the lessons. This approach means that the students are very well prepared for any questions that may arise within the exam. Additionally, I believe exam technique to be very important and will aim to cover that within my lessons as well.
Within the lessons themselves, they are largely more informal as I believe that students learn and engage better in a comfortable environment. I am very chatty and friendly and am keen to build a rapport with every student. Having taught different students, I believe that everyone learns differently and the key to academic success is understanding how each individual learns most effectively.
