What lessons with me look like: Sessions usually run for an hour, online via video call. For online lessons I use a shared digital whiteboard so we can both write out working, sketch diagrams, and go through past papers together in real time. It ends up feeling very close to sitting at a table together, which matters for subjects like maths and physics where you need to actually work through the steps, not just talk about them.

I usually start a first session by getting a sense of where you are: what you're covering in class, which topics feel shaky, and what your target grade is. From there, lessons are built around what you actually need rather than a fixed script. We might rebuild a concept from first principles with worked examples, go through your own homework or class notes together, or complete past papers under timed conditions closer to exams.

For physics especially, I try to link the maths back to the physical intuition behind it, since that's usually where things click. I want you doing the thinking with me guiding, so expect plenty of questions and honest feedback on where marks are actually being lost. Exam technique matters just as much as understanding the content.

Between sessions, you will have access to all our annotated whiteboard notes to review whenever you study. We will also track your progress against specific exam board requirements, ensuring you build consistent confidence, eliminate recurring mistakes, and enter the exam room fully prepared to hit your target grade.
