"My lessons are built around you, not a fixed syllabus. In our first session, we'll talk through your level, your goals, and what's realistically going to keep you motivated, whether that's holding a conversation on a trip, passing DELF or DALF, or simply feeling more confident speaking French out loud.

A typical lesson mixes a few things: a short warm-up in French to get you talking from the start, focused work on a grammar point or vocabulary set you actually need, and plenty of real conversation practice, because that's where a language really sticks. For exam candidates, we work directly with past papers and timed practice, and I track your progress so we know exactly where to focus next.

I create most of my own materials rather than following a textbook rigidly, which means lessons stay relevant to your interests, your industry, or your exam board, and I can adjust the pace on the spot if something needs more time. I also run a book club for students who want extra reading and conversation practice outside of regular lessons.

Having spent over a decade teaching abroad, including coordinating a team of teachers in Rome, I'm used to working with a wide range of learners: children, career professionals, complete beginners, and advanced speakers polishing their fluency. Whatever your starting point, expect lessons that are structured but flexible, patient but genuinely challenging, and focused on getting you speaking, not just studying."
