Cindy Boakye

Hi, my name is Cindy Boakye and I am PGCE primary qualified teacher.

I have gained many years of experience working with children ages 5-11.

I am committed to make sure that your child will begin to enjoy learning in a way that is best suited to them and at a pace which bridges the gaps. By creating a dynamic learning environment, I aim to ensure learning is active, engaging, and student-driven. As an educator, I seek to invoke a practical love for learning in children that they will appreciate and continue to apply to real life situations.

My aim as a personal tutor is to support and develop your child's confidence which will aid them to progress independently using strategies enabling them to tap into the knowledge they already have within and build knowledge they will acquire beyond the constraints of a classroom.

Lessons are planned and tailored to the interests of the individual so that the learning is relatable. Children will be taught how to learn through metacognition and the use of Rosenshine’s gradual release model will help for learners to become more independent as they see good practice being modelled.

A child-centred approach focusing mainly mutual respect will be cultivated and encouraged throughout the sessions to gain the best perspective for the highest form of learning. Being flexible and adaptable is at the heart of what I do, understanding that sometimes what has been planned, may need changing to fit the current moment for the benefit of the learner.
