I have significant hands-on biology research experience, having a PhD in plant pathology and plant-fungal interactions, followed by postdoctoral experience in agricultural biotechnology. My approach towards teaching relies on real-world examples, tackling difficult research questions. I have worked with secondary school students as a science technician, undergraduate students during my PhD and post-doctoral research, and with laypeople and investors from non-scientific backgrounds when working in industry
