Every child learns differently, so I believe tutoring should never be a “one size fits all” approach. My lessons are carefully planned around each child’s individual needs, learning style, interests, and personal goals. I begin by getting to know the child, identifying their strengths as well as any areas where they need extra support. This allows me to create personalised lessons that are engaging, enjoyable, and focused on helping them make meaningful progress while building their confidence.

My sessions are calm, positive, and interactive. I use a variety of teaching methods, including practical activities, games, discussions, visual resources, and hands-on learning to keep children motivated and actively involved. I regularly adapt my teaching throughout the lesson, ensuring children understand each concept before moving on. I believe mistakes are an important part of learning, so I create a supportive environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, trying new things, and developing resilience.

With over 10 years of experience working in primary schools, alongside my BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies (Primary), I have worked with children across a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. I have extensive experience supporting children with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, low confidence, behavioural needs, and learning gaps. This experience has taught me the importance of patience, flexibility, and celebrating every achievement, no matter how small.

I can provide support in English, reading, phonics, writing, spelling, handwriting, maths, homework support, SATs preparation, and general confidence building. Lessons are carefully structured but remain flexible enough to meet the child’s needs on the day, ensuring they receive the best possible support.

My aim is not only to improve academic achievement but also to help children develop a genuine love of learning. I want every child to leave each lesson feeling proud of what they have accomplished, more confident in their own abilities, and excited to continue learning. By working closely with parents and maintaining open communication, I can ensure each child receives consistent support both during tutoring sessions and beyond, helping them reach their full potential at their own pace.
