I am a flexible and adaptable tutor who tailors each lesson to suit the individual needs of my students. In my experience, personalised lesson plans are key to effective learning, and I always take time to understand a student’s goals, strengths, and areas for improvement. I have successfully used a range of strategies, including sourcing targeted exam questions, exam resources and incorporating visual guides, to match the specific requirements of each student and the exam board specification.

I have experience teaching specifically AQA GCSE and Edexcel A Level Biology, but I am confident working across other exam boards and specifications as needed. My approach is to build lessons around what works best for the student, whether that’s reinforcing key content, developing exam technique, or focusing on specific problem areas.

My teaching style is supportive and student-led. I encourage active participation and create a space where learners can feel comfortable asking questions and exploring challenging topics. For some students, I take a step by step approach to develop foundational understanding, while others may benefit more from intensive revision sessions or exam paper question walkthroughs. Whatever the case, I’m always ready to adapt.

Beyond subject knowledge, I also emphasise study skills, time management, and confidence building. I aim to help students not only succeed academically but also feel more in control of their learning.
