I believe that effective teaching is about helping students truly understand the subject, not just memorise it. My lessons will be designed to be interactive, structured, and focused on developing confidence as well as knowledge.

In each session, I start by identifying what the student already knows and where they need support. This helps me tailor my explanations to their level of understanding. I then break down complex topics into smaller, more manageable parts, using clear examples and real-life applications to make learning engaging and relevant.

My teaching style combines visual aids, step-by-step problem-solving, and discussion-based learning. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and explain concepts back to me in their own words. Practice questions and exam questions are absolutely beneficial for students to help test their knowledge and increases memory performance. This helps strengthen understanding and retention.

I also focus on building strong study habits by highlighting the aims at the beginning of the lesson, summarising key points at the end of every lesson, setting achievable goals, and offering practical revision tips. For subjects involving problem-solving or technical work, I, again, use practice questions and past papers to reinforce learning and build exam confidence.
