Hi there, I am both a primary and secondary trained language teacher and have taught in both primary and secondary schools. I have also helped run Open University French summer schools for adults at Caen University.

Apart from French, I have also taught Spanish and English As An Additional Language. Languages are my passion and I am also an eternal language student and I am currently learning Portuguese. I enjoy helping students achieve their goals and usually adapt my teaching style to the requirements of the learners and try to make lessons fun and effective. I focus on the needs of the learner and depending on their level and learning outcome, incorporate elements of grammar, reading, listening, writing and speaking. For those focusing on exam preparation, I am familiar with both Edexcel and AEB exam boards and follow the curriculum closely. Learners of other exam boards are also welcome to apply.

Finally, remember that learning and speaking a language is fun and very satisfying! It is about using words so staying on top of new vocabulary goes a long way in helping you to achieve your goals in all four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking). Ways of achieving this are by listening to the radio, watching films or tv programs and reading in the target language. Lastly, putting aside any fears or embarrassment and speaking to native speakers of the language you are learning.
