Every student learns differently, so I always begin by identifying their goals — whether that’s improving exam technique, building confidence with tricky topics, or pushing for top A* grades. I then tailor each lesson to suit their individual needs and learning style.

A typical one-hour session might include:



15 mins: Review of key topics and short examples to reinforce understanding.
10 mins: Q&A and discussion to spot misconceptions and assess current knowledge.
20 mins: Practice with challenging, exam-style or past paper questions to apply concepts in context.
10–15 mins: Feedback, analysis of strengths and areas to improve, and a quick plan or homework for next steps.

I regularly adapt this structure depending on what the student needs that week: some sessions focus more on content review, others on timed question practice or exam strategies.

Progress is measured through short recap questions, exam-style assessments, and visible confidence growth over time. I always give detailed feedback by the end of the lesson, and in notes sent out at the end, highlighting how to pick up extra marks and approach complex questions logically.

My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, stay motivated, and develop independent study skills that help them achieve lasting success! :)
