I am an experienced tutor who is familiar with the SQA curriculum and able to teach GCSE/A-level and University curriculums too. I have taught in France and the UK, and so am culturally-aware and able to adapt my teaching methods to suit anyone! I am a great motivator, and I believe that anyone can learn French if we just find the way that your mind ticks! The benefits of learning a foreign language are endless, and I want to ensure that my clients are able to experience this. I like to assess each client's learning style and teach in a way that works for them - not everyone learns the same way, and so finding everyone's unique motivation is key. I use a gradual overload approach, where we consolidate previous knowledge whilst learning new contant; this means that you can actually retain the vocabulary and grammar over time. I also place a huge importance on communication - talking and listening are integral in language learning, and are often overlooked in school curricula. I am adaptable and flexible under pressure; I will take the stress away from language learning, because it should be fun! Studying a language can open doors and provide unlimited opportunities for employment, building connections, learning about new cultures.... I believe that it is possible for everyone to access these, whether or not you think that you are a 'language person'.
