Celyn Jones-Hughes

As a 5th year medical student I am able to tutor both clinical and preclinical studies. Having sat UKMLA CPSA recently and scoring in the top 20% of my cohort I am also able to tutor ISCE/OSCE aspect of the medical curriculum. Balancing medical school alongside working part time, having a role on committee and dancing competitively meant I developed efficient study methods to work harder not smarter- I am also happy to offer any sessions to student wishing to improve their study skills.
I like to tailor my lessons based on a students preference! Typically I ask what the student would like to learn in their next lesson and prepare teaching materials to be used in the next session- I then allow the student to work through these and ask any questions along the way. I like to open and close lessons with a conversation ensuring that the student is on the right track!
