I’m a native Spanish and English speaker from the border region between California (USA) and Baja California (Mexico). I have a bachelor’s degree in Communications and Cultural Studies and extensive experience working with local and international groups and individuals in helping them attain an immersive experience for language learning where they learn from the bottom up: starting with the most practical pronunciation techniques, moving on to vocabulary in tandem with the use of common phrases and idioms for everyday occasions or particular settings, depending on the student’s needs.

The lessons can be customized to suit your specific needs and pace of learning. My focus is on providing the tools for each student to reach their goals and to enjoy learning a new language in a setting that’s fun and engaging. If you like music, one of my favorite ways to teach the language is by helping you discover the mystery of what your favorite Spanish speaking singer is saying. Creative and poetic language can be very useful to understand a culture’s nuances via subtle language queues and inflections.

My experience and training as a translator and interpreter has also proved useful when handling diverse accents and idioms local to Europe and Latin America, I can help you understand Rosalía, Almodóvar as well as the newest and trendiest slang coming from Puerto Rico or Colombia.
