I hold a Master's Degree in Interpreting and Translation using Spanish and French. I have a Degree in Spanish and French, as well as an International Post Graduate Certificate of Educiaton.
I have wide experience in teaching and tutoring students from age 3 to age 80, from beginner to GCSE (French) and A level/IB (Spanish). I have also lived in France, Belgium, Mexico and Brunei!
My lessons are completely tailor made to the student's age, ability and desired learning outcomes, but most specifically, to their optimum learning style - what works best for you? Games, exercises, visual aids, auditory input, mnemonics? Together we will unpick anything that has proved challenging by going back to basics, then work out how you learn most successfully and use that going forward.
For younger learners the emphasis is on fun, games, songs, puzzles and changing activity regularly to ensure interest, concentration and engagement.
For older learners, time is taken using a student's self-reflection and insight into their own learning, to establish where the challenged in learning lie (if applicable), stripping back to basics, and then together working out the best way to move forward. If you are studying for a GCSE, A level or IB, then we discuss the best strategies to help you optimise the outcome in those exams, and I will help you to add to and consolidate your learning so that you will be able to show what you know, and not stress about what you don't!
