Blossom in a nutshell
Bonjour! If you are studying French and want to thrive (whether in Year 7 or up to VCE level), fear not, I'll be your personal online mentor through your French studies!

For context, I graduated with an ATAR of 95.05 in 2023 and a raw SS of 40 in VCE French. I received the dux award for the '23 French cohort, HD finalist awards for written and oral French BMC competitions, and participated in an...
Bonjour! If you are studying French and want to thrive (whether in Year 7 or up to VCE level), fear not, I'll be your personal online mentor through your French studies!

For context, I graduated with an ATAR of 95.05 in 2023 and a raw SS of 40 in VCE French. I received the dux award for the '23 French cohort, HD finalist awards for written and oral French BMC competitions, and participated in an interschool French model United Nations conference amongst other immersion experiences. You could say I'm pretty passionate about French and know a thing or two about how to ace it as a school subject.

TUTORING LESSON DETAILS

To start, I provide a free 30 minute trial lesson, in which I will:
* get to know you and your proficiency in French (that is, ask you about your strengths, weak points, which area you think you need the most help in, and your goals from tutoring)
* explain how the lessons will run and what support I'll provide you with throughout each week
* help develop a rough action plan for your progress and success in French studies this year
(including scoping upcoming SACs, how we’ll prepare for them)

After the trial lesson, we'll have weekly 1 hour online Zoom lessons (once or twice a week, depending on your needs). Here's the help you can expect from me as your tutor:

* improving pronunciation
* understanding, perfecting and applying grammar points
* correction + feedback on written pieces
* additional, long-term language acquisition strategies (often overlooked, most important for mastery)
* timely support on questions (within 48 hours)
* (for 1/2 or 3/4 VCE level) French exam prep tips from early on in the year, to establish confidence and ease by the time exams roll around
* motivation! I’m here to encourage and support you

What most language students don't realise is that the bulk of language learning occurs subconsciously, in day to day moments, outside of official 'study time'. Knowing this is a game changer in becoming a natural at the language and mastering its comprehension and use. And it’s exactly what allowed me to do reasonably well in French while developing a persisting love for the subject. This is the niche additional advice that I will give in my tut lessons, to help you progress doubly faster towards fluency.
