Hello! My name is Benedicta, and I am a passionate language enthusiast and final-year Linguistics undergraduate at the University of Lagos.
My background and experience
I have a strong academic foundation in Linguistics, which has helped me develop an understanding of English grammar, phonetics, syntax, vocabulary and sentence structure. Having grown up using both English and Yoruba, I am comfortable communicating in English in everyday and academic settings.
I also run my own Korean language teaching channel and Instagram page, where I share learning materials, explain language concepts and create resources for language learners. This has helped me develop an interest in making language learning simple, engaging and accessible.
My teaching approach
I believe every learner has a different pace and way of understanding things. My approach is patient, practical and learner-centred. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions, practise freely and learn without feeling embarrassed about making mistakes.
My lessons can focus on:
- English grammar and sentence construction.
- Vocabulary development and everyday expressions.
- Reading and comprehension.
- Conversational English and speaking confidence.
- Improving written communication.
Who can learn with me?
I welcome beginners and learners who want to strengthen their English skills, improve their communication or become more confident using the language.
Why choose my lessons?
I am approachable, patient and genuinely interested in helping people learn. I will do my best to understand your learning needs and adapt our lessons accordingly.
Learning a language takes practice, patience and consistency. You don't have to know everything before you begin. Let's take it one step at a time!
I look forward to learning with you.
