I'm Ben, a second year student reading Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University. I grew up in Kent and have been passionate about PPE throughout my school life.
Outside of academics, I play a range of sports, which has taught me how to get the best out of people, adapt to different personalities, and build towards a goal systematically. I bring that same mindset to tutoring
I started tutoring because I genuinely enjoy teaching and helping different people to achieve their potential. What I enjoy most is seeing students progress and develop across sessions and gain confidence in their ability. Every student has a different style of learning and different methods that work for them. My lessons are tailored entirely to you. Before we start, I'll assess where you are and build a plan around what you actually need.
In the lessons themselves, that will mean targeted essay technique, breaking down tricky concepts in an understandable way, and plenty of exam practice with honest, detailed feedback. Each week I will set tasks to go away and practice to ensure that you make progress outside of lessons as well as within them.
For Oxbridge applicants, I'll push you to think at the level interviewers expect and develop admissions exam strategies and techniques. This will include dedicated entrance exam preparation and detailed insights into the admissions process and how to make your application stand out. I will also spend time going through your personal statement, and help you refine it to be as good as it can be.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes
