Each lesson typically begins with a short recap or quiz to reinforce previous learning and check progress. I then introduce new topics using structured explanations, simplified breakdowns and real-world examples to make concepts easier to understand and apply.
I base my teaching on the official specification and exam board requirements, ensuring all content is relevant and targeted. I also incorporate examiner reports and past paper questions to help students understand what examiners are looking for and how to achieve higher marks.
A strong focus is placed on exam technique, including essay structure, analysis and evaluation. We regularly practise exam-style questions and review model answers to build confidence and improve performance.
To reinforce learning, I set targeted homework such as exam questions or researching real -world examples, and begin the next session by reviewing these together. Lessons are adapted to each student’s needs, whether they want to strengthen their understanding, improve exam technique or prepare for upcoming assessments.
I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to suit their pace and learning style. My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades, but also to develop a deeper understanding of Economics that they can apply effectively in exams and beyond.
