My lessons are friendly, relaxed and tailored to each student. I like to start by finding out what you enjoy, what you would like to achieve and what experience you already have, so we can build lessons around you.

Lessons can include vocal or instrumental technique, warm-ups, repertoire, music theory, sight-reading and performance skills, depending on your goals. I teach classical, musical theatre and pop, and I’m happy to explore different styles and songs with you.

I want lessons to be fun as well as productive, creating a supportive environment where you can ask questions, try new things and build your confidence. I believe that learning music should feel rewarding, rather than like a chore, and I want students to leave each lesson feeling that they have achieved something.

I have experience working with children aged 6–14 through singing and performing arts workshops, as well as extensive musical training and performance experience through Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. This has helped me develop a flexible teaching style and the ability to explain musical ideas in different ways.

Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some experience, I will adapt the pace and content of lessons to help you progress. We can work towards specific goals, such as preparing a song for a performance, developing vocal technique, improving sight-reading or simply learning songs that you love. I want each student to feel listened to and supported, while encouraging them to become more independent and confident musicians.
