I have completed my counselling studies last year and so am aware of the kind of obstacles that one may face in their studies. It is easy to feel demotivated and frustrated when either your personal life or study life is not going as expected. You may know how to get yourself back on track but actually doing it can be difficult due to either lack of motivation or feeling stuck. Sometimes, just having someone to talk to can be the help that one needs for that extra push.
We would have a one hour session where we look at what is troubling you and how we can solve these study related problems and self development. Together, we can set up your study goals and come up with practical ways to achieve them. We would have regular check ins either weekly or biweekly, depending on your need to monitor your progress.
In the first session, we would talk about what your study habits are, what has worked and what has not. We may touch upon your daily life to see how we can construct the sessions to fit you and help achieve your goals. I will be there to help encourage motivation and self confidence so that you do not feel like your are struggling on your own.
