My tutoring style is all about adapting to my students’ needs. I think building a good relationship with my students is essential for enjoyable lessons for everyone! I like to chat with my students about their interests and hobbies as well, especially at the start of each lesson to set up a positive atmosphere. I can then incorporate what they like into the lessons to make them more engaging. I make sure to take the time to fully understand what my students want to get out of their lessons, then focus on their needs, so that I can help them achieve their goals effectively and efficiently without wasting anyone’s time. I will also tailor my teaching approach based on the learning style of my students, since everyone learns differently! I have 6 years of private tutoring experience, 3 years under an agency called Kits Tutor and 3 years with students I recruited myself, so I know how to adjust my teaching, and I’ve gotten very good at explaining complex concepts in a way that you’ll understand! Rather than just teaching the facts, I like to help my students build up studying and exam-taking or essay-writing skills as well, since these are essential to score high. I have learnt lots of study skills which have helped me to achieve great results without having to overwork, and I’m more than happy to share them with my students. I like to spend a lot of time practising these skills so that my students are fully equipped to face their assessments.
