Areeba Zaheer

I am a caring and experienced Speech and Language Therapist who specialises in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). My sessions are child-centred, evidence-based, and tailored to each learner’s individual strengths, needs, and learning style. I have experience working with children with autism, cerebral palsy, developmental language disorder, speech sound difficulties, and communication needs associated with additional learning needs.

My lessons are structured yet flexible, with clear goals and engaging activities that help children develop confidence and functional communication skills. Sessions may focus on speech clarity, understanding and using language, social communication, depending on the child’s needs. I use a calm, supportive approach and adapt sessions to suit attention levels, sensory needs, and emotional regulation.

Building trust is central to my work. I aim to create a safe and positive learning environment where children feel understood, supported, and motivated to communicate. I work closely with parents and caregivers, offering practical strategies and guidance to support communication at home and in everyday situations.

My goal is to help children communicate more effectively, build independence, and feel confident expressing themselves in the world around them.
