I am a qualified and highly experienced specialist Dyslexia tutor, primarily supporting children aged 6–13 years. I currently have limited availability for private, face-to-face tuition. With a background in primary school teaching across both KS1 and KS2 in a range of UK settings, I have extensive experience supporting children with diverse learning needs.
Whilst teaching, I developed a particular passion for understanding and supporting children with Dyslexia. I went on to specialise in this area, completing a Master’s degree in Dyslexia Research and Practice.
I provide specialist, individualised tuition in a positive and supportive learning environment, helping children to develop their confidence, self-belief and independence. My teaching uses a cumulative, multisensory approach, ensuring that children are actively engaged and able to build on their learning in each session.
Sessions cover all aspects of literacy, including reading fluency, comprehension, writing development, spelling, phonics and morphology. I focus not only on improving literacy skills, but also on equipping children with practical strategies they can use independently, both in and outside the classroom.
My aim is to help every child understand how they learn best, recognise their strengths, and develop the skills and confidence they need to become a successful, independent learner.
