My Experience & Background
I am currently pursuing my MSc in Actuarial Science and Management at Heriot-Watt University. Prior to this, I completed my Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering (specialising in AI and Machine Learning) and worked professionally as a Software Engineer in the corporate tech sector. Working in these high-level STEM environments showed me exactly why building a strong, logical foundation at a young age is crucial—not just for passing exams, but for real-world problem-solving.

Additionally, my background as a University Debate Ambassador means my biggest strength as a tutor is communication. I know how to take complex, intimidating topics and break them down into simple, manageable pieces that actually make sense to you.

The Lesson Format
I firmly believe that a "one-size-fits-all" approach does not work for subjects like maths and science. Every session is fully tailored to your specific needs, learning style, and pace.

Initial Assessment: We will start by taking a little time to identify any gaps in your understanding in a stress-free way.

Flexible Structure: I am completely adaptable. We can jump straight into a specific topic that is causing you stress this week, or we can start right from the beginning of your syllabus and build up together.

Supportive Environment: My priority is creating a space where you feel completely comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and having those rewarding "aha!" moments.

Content & Dynamics

Concept Over Memorisation: Rather than just rushing to finish homework assignments, my goal is to ensure core concepts (whether in Algebra, Trigonometry, or Physics) make intuitive sense. I want you to understand why a formula works, rather than just forcing you to memorise it.

Interactive Learning: To keep things engaging, I mix in short, interactive quizzes and use a lot of real-world examples to bring abstract numbers to life.

Curriculum & Exam Focus: Once a solid foundation is built, we tie everything directly back to your school curriculum. We will focus on your upcoming coursework, practice proven exam techniques, and make sure you are fully prepared for whatever your syllabus throws at you.

My ultimate goal isn't just to help you pass your next test. I want to take the anxiety out of STEM and help you build the genuine confidence and critical thinking skills you can rely on for years to come.
