Hello! My name is April and I would love to be your next Biology tutor. I have experience tutoring both GSCE and A Level students, and received a grade of A* in both GSCE and A Level Biology myself.
Throughout my secondary school exams I really found what worked in terms of revision, with many of my peers asking for my notes and techniques. I can help you learn the content, but more importantly understand it. Once you know what you're talking about, we can focus on repetition, to cement that knowledge. The next step is looking at mark schemes, and understanding what type of answers the examiners want, so that these types of answers become second nature to you.
I have just graduated my Master's by Research in Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience which specialised in cardiovascular disease and immune cells. I also have a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience. I thouroughly enjoyed both of these degrees, particularly modules heavy in cellular interactions and pathologies. I would love to pass some of this knowledge on to you :)
I remember how challenging exam time was, so my tutoring approach will be zero judgement. With almost a decade of swimming teacher experience, I have a LOT of patience, and you can ask me as many questions as you want, genuinely, nothing will be too 'stupid'. I am only interested in helping you learn and understand, not in making you feel anymore anxious around exams.
I am not currently verified as I don't have the funds, but I promise I am the real deal!
I hope to hear from you soon,
April :)
