My lessons are friendly, structured and fully personalised to each student’s learning needs. I begin by identifying the areas they find difficult, then break each topic down using clear explanations, examples, questioning and guided practice.

I teach GCSE Biology, Physics and Chemistry. For GCSE Science, I focus on building strong subject knowledge, improving exam technique and helping students understand how to answer questions confidently. I also support A-Level Biology students with more specialist subject knowledge, exam preparation and confidence with complex topics.

I completed a PGCE in Secondary Science with QTS, specialising in Biology, and have experience teaching in the classroom, tutoring 1:1 and running small group sessions. I also have experience supporting students with SEN and EAL, and I adapt my teaching to make Science clearer, less overwhelming and more achievable for every student.

In my lessons, students are encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes and build confidence at their own pace. I use exam-style questions, diagrams, model answers and step-by-step feedback to help students improve. My aim is not only to help students remember key facts, but also to understand how to apply their knowledge in exams. With a background in both teaching and laboratory science, I bring real-world examples into lessons to make Science more interesting, relevant and easier to understand.
