Hey, I’m Anna ??
I’m a friendly, experienced English teacher with a background in Applied Linguistics and TESOL, and I specialise in helping students feel comfortable and confident using English in real-life situations as well as preparing them for exams and setting them up for their next stage in life!

My lessons are interactive, supportive, and tailored to you — whether you’re preparing for work, improving your speaking, studying for an exam such as Cambridge, IELTS or TOEFL, or whether you just want to finally feel more fluent when using English.

I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, from beginners to professionals, including business owners, marketing professionals, and university students. I design lessons based on your goals, focusing on the relevant, practical communication such as meetings, presentations, emails, travelling and everyday conversation.

What makes my teaching different?
I don’t just teach you the grammar and give you exercises (although I can do plenty of that if you prefer!) — I actually help you use it. We will focus on using what we've learnt in your communication each time we meet, I will also equip you with lots of materials and resources to engage with outside of our lessons.

With my background in linguistics and a heavy focus on grammatical analysis, I can explain things clearly, giving you real-life examples. I also make sure lessons are interactive, engaging, and focused on building confidence. I can empathise a lot with the common mistakes language learners make, having learnt a new language myself shortly after qualifying as a teacher! I have personally tried and tested the strategies learnt during my Masters degree.
