I take the approach of teaching all four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing equally from the outset whilst establishing a strong grounding in grammar in order to provide a structure for my students’ learning. I encourage my students to independently find sources of authentic language that they enjoy in order to boost their listening skills out of the classroom. I try to engage them using a range of exercises, games and role play activities.

I tailor my tutorials to my students, whether they prefer to learn just how to speak and listen in Italian or whether they prefer to learn all four skills and get a basis in Italian grammar to enable them to progress further in the language.

I can also adapt my tutoring to the topics that my tutees are most interested in - be that Italian culture, food or holidays.
