In my opinion, learning should be a combination of interesting material and an entertaining delivery. There is no harm in using humor while in the classroom. I teach basic English terms essential for traveling and fully immersing yourself in a new culture. Specific examples include: Casual terms for socializing, dating, etc. to use daily. I have previously had success utilizing flashcards (online sources) mixed with media exposure and simple back and forth conversation.

I also prefer to have 1:1 conversations with students about their independent needs, goals, and learning styles. It is important to personalize information to best fit each individual student.

Please reach out if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. I have flexible availability and would love to hear from you

Thank you,
Anna Greenbaum
