Having achieved a Grade 9 in English Language, a Grade 8 in English Literature, and 7 (A) in History, I understand what examiners look for and how to help students reach top grades across subjects.

Lessons typically begin with a short recap, followed by focused work on key texts, themes, events, and historical skills. In English, we explore literature, language, and exam techniques, while in History, we focus on understanding sources, analyzing events, and constructing structured, evidence-based essays. I model high-quality responses so students can clearly understand how to structure and develop their answers effectively.

A key focus is building exam confidence. Students receive regular practice and detailed feedback to improve essay writing, analysis, and clarity. I break down complex ideas into simple, manageable steps to make learning accessible and reduce overwhelm.
