I founded both & as teaching platforms and I use them during classes. I am the author of a creative writing guide book and poetry. Classes typically focus on one literary device at a time yet use materials rich in many of them. This maximises learning via absorption as well as via direct instruction. As such students generally make progress at an above average rate. We also read classic authors and poets to gain insight into their styles.

Imagery, mood writing, symbolism, personification, metaphor, simile, repetition, alliteration, rhyming, kennings, pace, onomatopoeia - they seem like a lot until you realise that you can learn them the same way you learned how to talk. You absorb first, analyse and refine afterwards. So check my websites, most resources are free, downloads to work like an app offline. Use the word cards. Add my guide book from Amazon if yiu like - it’s much cheaper than a tutor. It’s okay to self learn. Many great writers did - I’m one of them. However, if you would like to learn with me it speeds everything up. My students accelerate pretty fast and gain the kind of confidence that lasts.
