My lessons are relaxed, engaging and tailored to the individual student. I recongise that everyone learns differently, so I will adapt each session around your current level, the areas you find most challenging and the grades you are aiming to achieve.

A typical lesson will begin by identifying a particular topic or skill to focus on. We will then work through the relevant legal principles, cases and legislation together, breaking more complicated concepts down into clear and manageable steps. I encourage students to ask questions throughout and want lessons to feel like a discussion rather than simply and hour-long lecture.

A major focus of my lessons is exam technique. Understanding the law is only half the challenge at A-Level; being able to identify what a question is asking, select the relevant authorities and apply the law effectively is equally important. We can therefore work through past-paper questions, plan answers together and look at how to structure essays and problem questions to maximise marks.

Having completed an LLB at the University of Exeter and now undertaking an LLM, I have extensive experience studying law and writing legal essays and problem questions. I also participated in competitive mooting for over three years, which strengthened my ability to analyse legal problems, construct arguments and explain complicated principles clearly.

Ultimately, my aim is not simply to help students memorise cases and legislation, but to help them genuinely understand the law and become more confident applying it independently.
