I have been teaching private lessons in Spanish, English and French for five years now and have experience working in teaching foreign language centres for small groups. In this experience, students have always managed to improve their skills, pass a specific exam or language level certificate and achieve their linguistic goals.

I continuously adapt my lessons to the necessities of my students, in order to achieve their highest potential. This is the best part of private lessons. I'm always available for any questions or feedback that take place outside the classes. Even though I don't usually send homework, I believe it is more than recommendable that the student supports what is being learned in the lesson with some autonomous work.

Regarding dynamics, I tend to rely on documents that I prepare for my students and send them in advance for us to work on them together during the class, usually to work on grammatical competence. Then, if needed, I like to devote part of the class to improving conversational skills, by talking about different topics, and maybe -again, if needed- add an audio or audiovisual piece to help comprehension, followed by a series of questions. This audiovisual content I pick is always related to Spanish or Hispano-American content, so we are working on comprehension and cultural competence.

This, as I said, can be very variable depending on the student's particular needs. So don't be afraid to ask what it is that you need, and I will be happy to prepare adequate lessons for that goal.
