My lessons are friendly, interactive, and designed to make difficult topics feel much less intimidating. I know science can sometimes feel like a subject where everyone else magically understands what’s going on while you’re staring at a diagram wondering if your textbook is written in another language — so I focus on explaining things in a simple, visual, and memorable way.
I use a mix of diagrams, flowcharts, drawing activities, exam-style questions, active recall, and step-by-step explanations to help students properly understand topics rather than just memorise them the night before an exam. I’m a big believer in visual learning, so I often draw processes out while explaining them, especially for biology topics like the heart, kidneys, genetics, or the immune system. I also like using little memory tricks and patterns that helped me when I was studying myself.
As a medical student, I’ve spent years learning how to revise large amounts of science content efficiently, and I understand how stressful exams can feel. Because of that, I try to make lessons supportive and low-pressure so students feel comfortable asking questions, even if they think they’re “basic” questions. Most of the time, those are the questions that actually help things click.
