My lessons are very much tailored to your preferences. If you want to work through questions you've been set in school, or do past papers or practice questions, that's absolutely fine by me. Similarly, if you need more of a conceptual break-down or broader topic explanation, then that's also an option. A lot of the lessons I deliver end up being a combination of working through questions and delivering 'classroom-style' explanations, but in a more conversational way, and by using analogies tailored to your own interests, which are therefore more likely to stick in your brain.

I'm a firm believer that you learn better when you're having fun, so I do everything I can to make the lessons interesting and engaging. I have a complete honesty policy, where you are encouraged to let me know which things you prefer, and which things you don't think are working for you as well, or you just dislike altogether, so that together we can enable you to accomplish your goals, whatever they may be, in a fun and positive manner.

It took me a while to get the hang of learning. I struggled academically most of the way through school, and it was often because I felt too embarrassed to ask for help when I needed it. There's no such thing as a stupid question as far as I'm concerned; If you're asking questions it's a sign you want to learn, and, in my opinion, nobody should ever feel embarrassed about wanting to learn. I will do my best to answer any questions you have, whether on or off the syllabus, and if I can't give you a detailed explanation immediately, I will make sure that I have a very clear answer ready for you the next time we speak.
