My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to each individual student. I believe that everyone learns differently, so I like to take the time to understand each student’s learning preferences, strengths and areas they find challenging. I will work with you to identify which methods you find most helpful, as well as those that may not work as well for you, so we can develop an approach that suits your individual needs.
Lessons can include breaking down complex psychological theories into simpler explanations, exploring key researchers and studies, creating revision resources, practising exam questions and developing essay-writing skills. I can also help you prepare for exams by introducing effective revision techniques, memory strategies and exam preparation methods to help you retain information and feel more confident.
I aim to make lessons interactive and engaging rather than simply going through information.
Having graduated with a BA (Hons) in Psychology with Criminology and currently studying an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health at King’s College London, I have a strong academic background in psychology and a genuine passion for the subject.
My overall aim is to help you understand psychology rather than just memorise it, build confidence in your abilities and develop effective study habits that you can use independently throughout your education. I encourage students to ask questions, work at their own pace and feel comfortable discussing anything they find difficult.
